Stairways into Heavens...
“Sky Ladder,” a 1650 feet high pyrotechnic artwork by Cai Guo-Giang, a Chinese contemporary artist currently living and working in New York City. This 500-meter ladder is taller than any building in America!
Cai is best known for using gunpowder in his spectacular works since the mid 90's. This pyrotechnic show was performed in Huiyu Island Harbour, Quanzhou, Fujian, China on June 15, 2015 at 4:49 a.m. to celebrate the 100th Birthday of Cai's grandmother.
